About the Club

Thetford Dolphins Swimming Club is a SwimMark accredited organisation, dedicated to the development of competitive swimmers. We provide a structured pathway for individuals who have completed the Learn to Swim Stage 7 programme, enabling progression through our squad system with the goal of achieving qualifying standards for county, regional, and national competitions.

Our primary objective is to develop swimmers for competitive success. We offer a focused training environment that emphasises technical excellence, physical conditioning, and mental resilience. The club supports athletes in advancing through squad levels, preparing them to perform at their highest potential while promoting teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship.

Training sessions are held six days per week at Breckland Leisure Centre & Waterworld, located on Croxton Road, Thetford. All sessions are led by qualified coaches who prioritise safety, wellbeing, and continuous improvement.

Thetford Dolphins competes in a range of events throughout the year, including:

• County and regional galas across Norfolk, Suffolk, and Cambridgeshire

• The Nifty 50’s Open Meet, held annually in September

• Internal Mini Galas for developing swimmers

• The Annual Club Championships, held in October
