Club Squad Structure:

Our club offers a structured squad pathway designed to support swimmers as they develop their skills, confidence, and competitive experience. Below is an overview of each squad and its focus:

Our Squads (1)

Dolphins Squad:

This is the entry point for swimmers joining the club. The focus is on building a strong technical foundation and introducing swimmers to competitive environments. Training takes place once per week for one hour, with sessions available on Monday, Tuesday, or Friday evenings, as well as Sunday mornings.

Development Squad:

Swimmers who demonstrate readiness progress to the Development Squad. Here, they continue refining technique, begin learning competitive skills, and take part in a wider range of events. The club operates four Development Squads, each training for three hours per week.

County Development Squad:

At this stage, swimmers begin to build endurance and race experience. Training focuses on preparing for county-level competitions and further developing competitive skills. There are three County Development Squads, each training for five hours per week.

County Squad:

Swimmers in the County Squad have a solid technical and competitive base. They train with a focus on mastering race skills and preparing for regional-level competitions. The club runs two County Squads, each training for seven hours per week, plus an additional one-hour land training session on Monday evenings.

Performance Squad:

This is the club’s highest training level. Swimmers apply advanced competitive skills in racing, with a focus on performance at regional level and above. The Performance Squad trains for nine hours per week, along with a one-hour land training session on Monday evenings.

Weekly training timetables for all squads are available in the Member Information section and listed on the Training Schedule page.
